Demonstrations took place in over 100 countries. 3 million people took to the streets of Rome, making it the largest demonstration ever in a single city. Yet the protests achieved nothing. The war proceeded, with massive casualties, particularly for Iraqi civilians. Estimates suggest that over 4.5 million people died due to Bush’s “War on Terror,” making him one of the top ten most murderous world leaders in history.
