The persecution of Francesca Albanese In order to silence Albanese and other supporters of Palestinian rights, Trump placed Albanese on the Office of Foreign Assets Control list, normally used to sanction money laundering or involvement with terrorism. Being on the list bans her from entering the US or from using banks. Her US assets are frozen, & she can't use credit cards. Her medical insurance has refused to reimburse her. Previously friendly institutions, including US universities, human-rights groups & NGOs, have cut her off for fear of US penalties. Trump's sanctioning occurred six days after the release of Albanese's report that documented corporate profiting from the Israeli occupation and genocide.
