The Palestinian Prisoners Club warns that detainee Fidaa Assaf, 49, is in critical condition after her leukaemia reportedly worsened in Israeli custody. Assaf, from Qalqilya, has been held since February 2025 on "incitement" charges, despite being diagnosed with leukaemia two months before her arrest.
The group says recent hospital tests show her illness has advanced and requires urgent treatment that is not being provided in prison.
