Swiss commentator at the winter olympics just dragging the Israeli bobsled team for filth. Turns out one of them was actively involved in military operations in Gaza recently.
There's of course rules against active duty soldiers suspected of war crimes playing in the games but the commentator notes those rules were primarily enforced against Russian athletes.

Ok, a couple of things, none of them important, or relevant to the troubles at large.
I’m not a sportsball person, except rugby, don’t get between me and a scrum, but as a rule, sports happen outside my realm of attention. But these lunatics on snow and ice? Pure madness, and impossible not to watch. Example, currently quite fit young persons in lycra suits are hurtling headfirst down an icy tunnel on a sled? They’re going dizzingly fast, and again this seems like something they should have cleared with Health and Safety. Frankly, as someone from the South who rarely sees snow, this whole #Olympics thing seems dangerous.
Beloved tells me that people play in the snow and ice all the time, and these sports are perfectly normal activities. I don’t understand it. There’s no crocodiles to avoid, no sharks, no drunk tourists...ok, probably drunk tourists.
Speaking of drunk, the #Daytona500 is today too. Meh. Restrictor plate racing sucks and #nascar is owned by #pedophile supporters.
@MissConstrue does anyone seriously doubt that luge and skeleton began with drunken dares by bored out of their minds northern europeans? 😜 Bobsled too, most likely.
