In case you didn't know where we are the coup process, we're at the part where the coup plotters openly reject the constitution and declare a set of laws made up by themselves.

We have arrived at the overthrow of the US government, unless Democrats or the military do something useful very soon.

And frankly, don't hold your breath.

The Constitution is not a bargaining chip for a budget negotiation
The Democrats demanded that Trump's immigration cops follow the law and the Constitution. The Republicans called those demands "nonstarters."

"We need to be clear about something. The Democrats’ demands aren’t “common sense reforms,” as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer described them. All but a few are already the law — and most of the others are either longstanding norms in U.S. policing or the foundational principles of any free society. The “demands” are really just restatements of what most people already expect from law enforcement and democratic government: No secret police. Immigration officers shouldn’t be arresting and incarcerating U.S. citizens. Cops can’t threaten, beat, and arrest people who are for exercising their First Amendment rights. Cops can’t kill people with impunity.

This is basic stuff."

🇨🇦 As Alberta separatists court the U.S., prosperity is fuelling a sovereigntist turn
https://theconversation.com/as-alberta-separatists-court-the-u-s-prosperity-is-fuelling-a-sovereigntist-turn-274914

In the past year, leaders of Alberta’s main separatist organization have traveled repeatedly to Washington, D.C., for quiet meetings with senior American government officials in the Treasury and State departments.

They’ve reportedly discussed everything from adopting the American dollar to building an independent Alberta military.

As Alberta separatists court the U.S., prosperity is fuelling a sovereigntist turn

Alberta is not a place that ‘doesn’t matter’ economically; the anger of those who want to separate from Canada stems from the belief that it matters a great deal and is still being disrespected.
