@eclectech It could be their sports group meeting outdoors.
Also, properly loving this branch. Anyone know what it is?
It's a big bush or small bushy tree growing wild on a Scottish hillside & I feel I should probably know what it is, but I don't because I am a bit rubbish.
Did some searching but it kept suggesting things from the wrong continent, and seemed to think the 'thorns' were smaller than they are (that main prong is maybe 5cm tall).
I need to go back when it has leaves to give me a chance.
@eclectech Maybe blackthorn (sloe), that's a spikey beast. It will have white blossom quite early, probably before the leaves.
@Dianotron Thanks, I will be revisiting to find out!
@eclectech
Oh, that branch is so neat!
I think my schoolyard circa grade 1 had a similar bush? 5cm seems about right, and I remember them being gnarly like these. No idea what it is called, though.
@silvermoon82 I love it! A magnificent mass of punky branches.
@eclectech @silvermoon82 Can you share the original pic without the figures?
@Sarah111well @silvermoon82 Oh yes, hang on, I might have a better photo showing a little more of it too.
edit: only fractionally better, I was obsessed with the detail so didn't get a wider one than this.
@eclectech @Sarah111well @silvermoon82 it looks a bit like bullace. I have some in the garden.
@eclectech @silvermoon82 I've discounted all the thorns that I've impaled myself on at one time or another. I'm thinking maybe its a buckthorn? Not a thorn I'm that familiar with.
