A common theme in science fiction is that if you're in space, don't trust a corporation. And Earth is in space

@geekysteven this is a subtle reference to real life, where big corporations are evil
I still want Elmo to go to Mars.
@geekysteven It's true. They don't give a fig.
There's a difference between immoral and amoral.
A person can do something immoral. But a corporation is even scarier: a corporation is amoral.
@geekysteven I have to give it to Douglas Adams, he nailed this one.
I can't count how many times we've had to deal with hideous aliens because of corporation greed in space...😂
@geekysteven it's almost like the big corporations that travelled the earth and saw people as expensive hundreds of years ago inspired them 🤔
@geekysteven I think the real message though, if you look at the trend in themes, is that a whole lot can go wrong in space and you don't have to fuck up that hard to end up dead, and maybe kill a planet full of people at the same time.
Corporations, being systems of humans constructed to churn out profit, are stupidity amplifiers. One asshole's pride is enough though in a place like space.
Yep. Earth is in space and it's infested with "intelligence". I'd stay clear if you want to live.
@geekysteven Alien, Wall-E, what else?
@geekysteven Adding to my life rules.
On Earth, no one can hear you scream
@geekysteven can't argue with this logic
