We see Tree Sparrows for basically one day as they migrate to nearby nesting sites to the east. They swoop in (early April), check out a few sites, then they are gone. Looking through my library, I have mostly blur. This is the only shot that I could work with. 500mm at great distance, so highly cropped. There were 5 birds in flight around this one.

Gorgeous birds that feed mostly on insects (on the fly), but will eat a little fruit and egg shells. They will use nesting boxes near water.

Iridescent blue swallow (elongate body and very long primary wings) perched at the opening of a nesting cavity.

Tree Swallow - Tachycineta bicolor

The genus name Tachycineta (fast moving) is very accurate!
