@igd_news Democrats could have stopped this if they weren't afraid to look "weak on national security" by exposing it. Their mild protestations against Trump's massive "budget reconciliation" bill mostly ignored the exponential increase in ICE funding in favor of endless talk about tax cuts for billionaires, which of course are bad but not as existentially scary as a massive network of concentration camps and armed thugs roaming the streets to round up captives.

@igd_news An even greater windfall for private prison corporations is in the offing. Trump supporting companies Core Civic and Geo Group made obscene profts last year. Core Civic was up by 69%. GEO Group profits increased by 800%!
ICE wants space to incarcerate at least another 20K people.
