We were meant to wander around the Glasgow Necropolis today, but I've had some shockingly bad back pain that I'm finding difficult to navigate.

We're going to try again tomorrow, and hopefully we can because visiting the necropolis is literally the *other* reason for this trip (the first reason was to visit the Kandinskys!).

Also, I saw a red squirrel!

A red squirrel. He's sitting on a squirrel feeder box that's nailed to a tree. He's eating some food out of the box. He's a cute lil guy!

A plaque commemorating the life of the Scottish social reform campaigner and political activist Mary Barbour, who was born in Kilbarchan on this day in 1875, on a Hutton Drive tenement in the Linthouse area of Glasgow.

If anyone ever tells you that one person can't make a difference, ask them if they know about Mary Barbour.

Mary Barbour
(22nd February 1875 - 2nd April 1958)
Social Reformer, Rent Strike Leader, Women's Peace Crusader and Pioneering Woman Councillor.

"In Govan, Mrs Barbour, a typical working class housewife, became the leader of a movement such had never been seen before. Street meetings, back court meetings, drums, bells, trumpets
every method was used to bring the women out." (William Gallacher, Revolt on the Clyde, 1936)

Hello, do I know, or can I reach, someone with a room to rent in Glasgow, UK from Apr to July?

I know off someone who's coming for an apprenticeship in art/fashion and who'd rather be hosted by a local if possible.

Boosts welcome and any hints appreciated too.
