OTD 2019

We decided to spend our birthdays in Iceland that year.
My partner's is the day before mine, so this is what we did on my birthday that year.

Pic 1: From Varmahlíð, after a good breakfast we started out along Skagafjörður

Streetlights are lining the route and in the distance is an impressive mountain range, white-coated with snow and ice. Near to the viewpoint is a traffic signal, showing red, and the light has been painted into a red heart. The sky is mostly clear and the sunlight is from the right.

Finally, a shot of a large town on the opposite side of a body of water. The surface of the fjord is ruffled by wind and is blue in reflection of the sky. Sunlight is from the left. Right from the waterline, the town is busy with buildings and infrastructure. Right of centre is an impressive twin-spired church. There are residences and other structures as far away as the foothills of a large mountain. A road can be seen climbing the mountain towards the ski slopes.
