This was the once-in-a-lifetime, super-duper, ultra-massive, fantastically big, colossus, mammoth, monumental, majestic, grandiose, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious full moon of 4/7/2020.

(Actually, it's just a full moon at perigee with the Earth. Single frame. Not AI. Not a composite. Shot at 600mm, f/8.0, 1/15sec, ISO100. Heavy editing to remove haze and add contrast.)

I stopped the truck along White Canyon Road North when I spotted this interesting sight. Flags of thin white sandstone have broken off from the rim and migrated down this shallow wash to give the appearance of stepping stones up the hillside. I didn't climb up as they looked fragile.

You may have heard of shadow people, well these are shadow ents watching a passing storm.

With some heavy editing I could probably make this look like a Bob Ross painting, except, there are no "happy little trees."
