Google announced that as of September 2026, it will no longer be possible to develop apps for the Android platform without first registering centrally with Google. This registration will involve:
- Paying a fee to Google
- Agreeing to Google’s Terms and Conditions
- Providing government identification
- Uploading evidence of the developer’s private signing key
- Listing all current and future application identifiers

What was your first Linux distro, and why did you pick it?
For me it was Fedora. I knew basically nothing about Linux at the time, but the logo just clicked 😁 It also felt more up to date and actively worked on, so I figured it was a good place to start.
What about you? 🙄
Hey everyone! Over the last few months I've been working on a lot of accessibility focused projects to do with Wayland, because a lot of the gaps just weren't getting filled. I've created an accessible waybar alternative, notification daemon, clipboard history manager, accessibility first greeter for greetd, and a lot more. Each one is designed with screen reader accessibility first, visual stuff later. You can find them here: https://github.com/destructatron

«Open-source game engine Godot is drowning in 'AI slop' code contributions: 'I don't know how long we can keep it up'
Projects like @godotengine are being swamped by contributors who may not even understand the code they're submitting.»
The AI will still create security issues in general. Open-source software suffers from this because they are automatically exploited via AI.

The images were created with Stable Diffusion 3.5, using the text encoders:
- clip_g
- clip_l
- t5xxl_fp8_e4m3fn
SD 3.5 is particularly strong in concept art, abstract ideas, and complex scenes, as it handles nested prompts very well. The multiple text encoders are needed to accurately capture different aspects of the description: clip_g and clip_l for general visual semantics and style, and t5xxl_fp8_e4m3fn for complex, nested language structures.
Compared to SDXL, SD 3.5 is more experimental and geared toward creative, symbolic compositions, while SDXL is more stable with photorealism and figures.
Included: a screenshot of my ComfyUI workflow, which was used to implement the prompts in SD 3.5.
