OpenAI employees pushed for the company to inform Canadian police about a user they thought would engage in real-world violence months before the person did just that, killing eight people in a horrific attack in Tumbler Ridge.

The company only reached out to police after the shooting had occurred.

A huge shift in tech: Now Lenovo sells PCs and laptops with pre-installed Linux and provide full support.

This makes me as Ubuntu user very happy.

Buy a Lenovo Linux PC/laptop and enjoy a computer that belongs to you and doesn't spy on you like Windows 11.

Many CEOs of the big tech companies are Indian origin: Microsoft, Google, IBM, etc. What happens if they move to India and lead successful tech companies there? We would have more healthy competition in this space instead of our total dependency on American techs.

Let's start with some context. If you don't want to use technology that was created under immoral circumstances or that sprang from an immoral mind, then you are totally fucked. Further, we wouldn't have the packet-switched network that delivered these words to you without the contributions of the literal war-criminals at the RAND corporation:

Refusing to use a technology because the people who developed it were indefensible creeps is a self-owning dead-end.
